Crossing the mouth of the Gironde estuary, this line links Le Verdon (northernmost Point of the Médoc) with Royan and vice versa, and thus saves drivers the long detour around the estuary and across the bridges over the Dordogne and the Garonne.
This line links Blaye to the port of Lamarque, taking you right to the heart of Médoc from the Haute-Gironde area, and vice-versa.

The Direction des Transports Maritimes Départementaux provides services linking the two sides of the Gironde estuary via two routes, Le Verdon / Royan and Blaye / Lamarque.
